Spring 2018 Enrollment Application NOW OPEN!

We are currently accepting applications for Spring 2018 enrollment with the AAC!

For Interested Students: We're excited that you're interested in becoming part of the AAC community!  Below is our application timeline.  

  • October 1, 2017: Spring 2018 Enrollment Application OPENS
  • November 27, 2017: Spring 2018 Enrollment Application CLOSES
  • December 15, 2017: Last day to complete your applicant interview

For Faculty/Staff: If you are a faculty/teacher/staff/counselor and would like to nominate a student for participation in our program, please complete and submit our AAC Referral Form and we'll get in touch with the student you've nominated.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until the application submission deadline on November 27, 2017.  In order to be considered for Spring 2018 AAC participation, applications and all necessary required documentation needs to be submitted by November 27, 2017.

Eligibility

AAC students are current CSU undergraduate students who have a need or desire for academic support to meet and exceed their academic potential.  They are students who are committed to working toward their own success, and whose background MUST includes one or more of the following:

  • First-generation college student (neither parent has a bachelor's degree) OR
  • Low income (as determined by AAC staff using federal low-income guidelines) OR
  • A documented visible or non-visible disability AND
  • Demonstrated need for academic support

Required Application Supporting Documents

Additional Documentation that is required with your application:

  • Low-Income Verification (All Applicants - Pick Only One):
    • (PREFERRED) 2017 -2018 FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR): Students can submit their full Student Aid Report from FASFA in order to verify low-income eligibility.  Student Aid Reports can be accessed through the FASFA website.

OR

  • 2016 IRS Parental Tax Forms: Submit a copy of pages 1 and 2 your parents' 2016 1040 IRS tax forms, (ALL SSN's may we whited out).  If on your FAFSA you are considered an independent student please submit your 2016 1040 IRS tax forms.

‚ÄčPLEASE NOTE: The documentation is required for determination of low-income eligibility.  We cannot move forward with your AAC application until we receive this documentation. 

What Happens After You've Submitted Your Application

We review your application materials to verify that you are eligible to become part of the AAC and that we've received all of your supporting documentation.

Upon receiving your complete AAC application and supporting documents, we will contact you within 2-3 weeks via phone to schedule an applicant interview with you.
